Altar Servers

Altar servers assist the priest at Mass on Sundays and certain holy days. They carry the cross in the processiin, hold the missal book for the priest at the opening and closing prayers, and assist at the altar with the wine and water during the preparation of the gifts. They may also assist at special liturgies, such as Confirmation and the Easter Vigil, at which they may carry candles and assist the priest in his administering the sacrament.

Servers are generally scheduled once or twice a month and every effort is made to accommodate Mass time preferences and availability.

Any boy or girl who has made his First Holy Communion is welcome to become an Altar server after attending a one hour training session.
